Proactive Community Services Celebrates Juneteenth with Community Event at South Suburban PADS Permanent Supportive Housing Building.
Country Club Hills, IL Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 – Proactive Community Services, a dedicated advocate for community empowerment and support services, hosted a vibrant Juneteenth celebration at The South Suburban PADS Wellness Center on Tuesday, June 18th. The event marked a significant moment of unity, education, and empowerment for residents and community members alike.
Juneteenth, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States, was celebrated with enthusiasm and inclusivity at The Wellness Center. The event was a testament to Proactive Community Services’ commitment to fostering community engagement and providing essential services to those in need.

The EHE initiative is scaling up four science-based strategies that can end the epidemic: Diagnose, Treat, Prevent, and Respond. For maximum impact, CDC is continuing to invest in communities most affected by HIV — to help local HIV programs recover, rebuild, and begin to expand EHE strategies.
Free HIV and STI testing is available to qualified members of the Southern Cook County community.
